The Romero name, beyond the iconic creations of its patriarch, has come to represent something bigger over the last half century; it has come to stand for the punk-rock, independent spirit that filmmakers like Romero, the Senior embodied in the 60’s and 70’s.

As with anything, however, we believe that the same independent spirit that has inspired, driven and fueled us to dedicate our lives to the art has begun to lose its way. We believe that now, more than ever, independent filmmakers with the true spirit of the movement need a partner to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with them and unite what has become the wild west of filmmaking under a banner that has always and, under the leadership of George C. Romero (Romero, the Younger), will always represent only the best and truest of the independent spirit.
